An open invite at Stourbridge College

This Saturday is Open Event Saturday at Stourbridge College, the Art and Design Centre, Brierley Hill and Kidderminster Academy. Summer school leavers can explore the college’s wide range of vocational courses and apprenticeships while coming away with a place on a September course.

Adults thinking of going back to the classroom can also explore full and part-time study and training opportunities available from GCSE-equivalent through to university level. The event runs from 10am-1pm.

Gill Coldicott, Head of Stourbridge College said: “More school leavers are going to university after achieving single vocational qualifications in business, art, science, healthcare, sport and construction. Our Open Event is a chance to fully explore these courses and much more besides.

“The college experience we offer is built on the many personal development opportunities our students benefit from. These include work experience, careers advice, plus help with university applications and interviews. You can also receive additional learning support and mentoring if you need it.

“It’s why we’re the perfect choice for so many local sixth formers.”

Open Event visitors can also apply for a course on the day, be interviewed and come away with an offer.
