If you want to learn about how to support the mental health of children and young people that you work with, or those you care for in your personal life, this online course is for you. This course will teach you about supporting children and young people’s mental health and emotional well-being. You will learn about issues facing children and young people like depression, anxiety and conduct disorder, as well as factors that affect their mental health and the impact mental health problems can have on them and their lives.

There are 5 mandatory units to complete:

1. Understand children and young people’s mental health in context

2. Understand factors which may affect children and young people’s mental health

3. Understand the impact of children and young people’s mental health concerns

4. Understand children and young people’s mental health concerns

5. Understand how to support children and young people with mental health concerns

Course Length: 16 - 19 Weeks

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. This course is funded and available for learners age 19 and above who have lived in the UK for 3 years+

All resources will be made available to you via an online e-learning platform or paper based format with support from your allocated Assessor.

Once you have successfully completed this course you could continue to study other NCFE courses or secure employment in the health and social care sector.
