BMet is only provider of UAL qualifications in Central England.This is a multi-disciplinary course - Art, Graphics, Photography, Fashion, Textiles, Print making and Surface printing, that builds upon the basics of drawing to develop and refine your visual ideas. This qualification is designed to provide you with increasingly sophisticated skills to express your ideas and you will undertake projects in Fine Art, Photography, Printmaking, Graphic Design, Textiles and Surface Pattern. This course is for anyone that knows they wish to progress towards a career in Art & Design.

The qualifications draw upon established approaches to teaching, learning and assessment that are successfully proven to appeal to and engage students seeking practical study over a more academic study route. The qualification's structure provides a linked introduction to the broad context within which art and design activity sits.  

Awarded by UAL Awarding Body you will achieve a UAL Level 2 Award and Diploma in Art and Design on completion of this course.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

You will need a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above which may include maths and/or English or you may have completed a Level 1 Diploma in Art & Design.

This course is all coursework. You will produce project work, evidence folders, annotated sketchbooks, design sheets and finished outcomes and models.

After completing your Level 2 Diploma you can progress to the Level 3 course in Art & Design subject to you achieving a Merit or Distinction. This will further help you develop towards your chosen career in art, design, photography or fashion.
