This is a multi-disciplinary course – Art, Graphics, Photography, Fashion, Textiles, Print making and Surface printing, that builds upon the basics of drawing to develop and refine your visual ideas.
This qualification is designed to provide you with increasingly sophisticated skills to express your ideas and you will undertake projects in Fine Art, Photography, Printmaking, Graphic Design, Textiles and Surface Pattern.
Specialising in Fashion and Textiles – this one-year course will introduce you to the world of fashion design and textiles. This course will prepare you for a career in the fashion and textiles industry. You will experience a broad range of subjects that reflects practices used in the fashion industry. During your studies you will have opportunities to develop your knowledge of the fashion and textiles industry and explore areas of specific interest to you. It will also encourage you to explore necessary drawing skills and visual imagery. You will develop your creative skills, and experiment with ideas, materials, methods, processes through the use of sketchbooks and relevant textile media. The course will provide you with an understanding of the many aspects of fashion design, textile design, production and presentation skills. It will allow you to widen your knowledge and understanding of the creative process through industry links with relevant designers.
You will experience a broad range of subjects that strongly reflect practices used in the fashion industry.
