Introduction to Health, Social Care, Children & Young People's Setting CACHE Level 1 Award/Certificate

The aim of this qualification is to provide an introduction into knowledge and awareness of health, social care and children’s and young people’s settings. You will develop an understanding of the similarities and differences between these settings.

You will cover a range of topics aimed at meeting the needs of employment in this area and your course will also include work experience.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

You should be at least 16 years old with a minimum of Entry 3 in Numeracy and Literacy or GCSE grade 2/3 in English and maths.  A clear DBS check is also required.

All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods including posters, reports, assignments and case studies.

This qualification allows progression on to the BTEC Level 2 Health and Social Care or NCFE Level 2 Early Years Educator/ Support Teaching and Learning qualifications.
