Course overview
You’ll receive plenty of support and practice to help you build confidence and prepare for your final assessments. The course runs full-time over two days a week (16 hours), giving you time to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
What this course covers
You’ll study key topics such as health and safety in land-based industries, working in the horticulture sector, plant identification and science, outdoor plant care, and the use of tools and machinery. You’ll also develop horticulture business skills and choose one optional unit to tailor your learning

There are no formal entry requirements – we welcome applications from all learners and will consider each applicant individually
Progression Opportunities
After completing this course, you can progress to a Level 3 qualification in Horticulture or apply for jobs in the industry.
Delivery And Assessment
You’ll learn through practical, bite-sized sessions and complete a range of assessments including synoptic assignments, unit tasks, theory exams, and hands-on practical assessments.
