Level 1 - Introductory
Floristry Creative Crafts Award Level 1
You will learn a range of techniques and design principles to include in gift
work, small wedding pieces and table arrangements. The designs you create will
build into your own floristry portfolio and you will produce a show stopping
design, through your own creativity and inspiration, towards the end of your
course. Research and presentation skills will be developed throughout the course and
you will have a basic understanding of the principles of working in a floristry
industry environment.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.
Course Length: 14 Weeks
If you have an interest in floristry you can study this course without qualifications, however, a functional skills test for literacy and numeracy will need to be achieved.
You will be assessed by the practical sessions throughout your course on floral design and you will complete a portfolio of the work you create.
When you have completed this course you can continue to study the level 2 certificate in floristry or other horticulture courses.
