Early Years Practitioner NCFE CACHE Diploma Level 2 (Adult part-time)

Embrace your nursery teaching passion with this course. The aim of the course is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to 7 years of age with applied knowledge in the early years, 0-5 years.  The qualification content meets the Department for Education’s (DfE) Level 2 full and relevant criteria for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner in the workforce. You will study a range of professional practice units what will consist of in class activity supported with weekly online resources.  250 placement hours is required for this qualification in order to develop sufficient skills application with babies and young children to meet the assessment criteria for the qualification.

You should be at least 16 years old with a minimum of four GCSE’s Grade 3 (D) or above to include English and maths. Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks will be required.

All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods. This could include direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task set by CACHE.  Some learning outcomes within this qualification will require assessment in a real work environment.

This qualification allows progression on to the NCFE CACHE Technical Level 3 Certificate and Diploma in Childcare & Education (EYE), other Level 3 qualifications relating to child care or into various job roles in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors.
