Counselling Skills Certificate Level 2

This qualification aims to introduce learners to the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work, and some of the approaches that underpin the use of these skills.

This qualification gives learners the opportunity to investigate the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills and engage in a helping interaction appropriately.

This qualification does not qualify learners to practise as a counsellor.

During this Health & Social Care course you will study a range of topics, including:

  • Equality and Diversity
  • Human Growth and Development
  • Safeguarding and protection in health and social care
  • Communication in health and social care
  • Working in health and social care

This course can help with a career change into the health and social care sector.
Delivery of this course is on Tuesdays.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 30 Weeks

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification, however, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 1 qualification.

You will be assessed through assignments and skills demonstrations. There are no exams.
