Law and Practice Higher National Diploma

Level 5 - Professional & University

Law and Practice Higher National Diploma

This HND is awarded in conjunction with Birmingham City University. It is the only HND which qualifies successful students for automatic entry into the second year of an LLB qualifying law degree. The course involves the study of a variety of legal areas and skills and concentrates on the acquisition of the practical skills designed to equip you for a role in today’s fast changing legal profession. The course thus provides a particularly suitable route for those interested in paralegal work.

The course includes visits and outside speakers who have knowledge of the legal system. The course is designed for those who aspire to work within the law professions and also for those currently working within a legal environment who wish to gain a professional qualification.

The course will put an emphasis on applied learning, developing skills and knowledge and applying these within the workplace.

Annual and modular tuition fees shown are applicable to the first year(HNC)of study. The College reserves the right to increase fees for subsequent years of study (HND) in line with increases in inflation (capped at 3%) or to reflect changes in Government funding policies or changes agreed by Parliament.
