Creative Computing & IT Diploma Level 3

This course is designed to give you the skills you need to work in the IT professions.  It focuses on some general IT skills as well as developing a creative approach towards computing. You will study a wide range of IT related topics which will include Computer Systems, Web Design, Multimedia and Games Design, E commerce, computer Animation, Software Designing and Development, Computer networks and Advanced spread sheet skills.


This course is part of our Careers College programme. The Careers College is a new concept in education in which we work with a range of employers to develop curriculum and educational experiences that enable students to quickly develop digital, creative and employability skills. As a Careers College student you will have access to a broad range of employer-led activity, such as live briefs, internships and seminars, to develop relevant skills for your chosen career route, as well as many local initiatives such as coding summer schools and games design events.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

You will need to achieve four C grades or above at GCSE or equivalent of which maths and English should be included.

You will be assessed via a variety of methods such as portfolio of evidence, written coursework and practical assessment.

On successful completion, you can progress to careers in the IT industry such as IT Technical Support, Software Development and Database Administration. There is also the option to progress onto relevant Level 3 IT courses as such the Advanced Creative IT, with the opportunity to achieve a qualification equivalent to three A2 Levels and progression onto university level courses.
