BMet shortlisted for Building Futures Award for being a beacon in construction education

James Watt College, part of BMet, has been named a finalist in the “Best FE Provider for Supporting Careers in Construction” category at the prestigious Building Futures Awards.

The nomination recognises the college’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of construction professionals through a curriculum shaped by industry, hands-on experience and strong employer partnerships.

Winners will be announced on 27 November 2025 at The Holte Suite, Aston Villa FC, Birmingham.

Construction training at James Watt College is delivered by experienced staff and includes site visits, employer-led projects, and access to the latest techniques in areas like digital surveying and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

The college’s learners also benefit from a curriculum designed in collaboration with employers, ensuring every course module is relevant and responsive to the skills gap.
