BMet Celebrates Student Success at Annual Awards Evening

BMet’s annual Student Awards took place last night (Tuesday 17 June) at Edgbaston Cricket Stadium, bringing together students, staff and guests to celebrate exceptional achievement across the college.

The evening recognised learners from across BMet for their academic progress, personal growth, and contributions to the wider college community – with over 600 nominations and 90 students receiving awards.

The event also marked the official launch of BMet’s new college values created by staff.

Guest speaker Scott Thomas, entrepreneur and former Love Island contestant, shared his own personal story of transformation – inspiring students with his honest reflections on resilience, purpose, and redefining success.

Zoe Lee, Director of Marketing, Work Experience and Schools, said:

“The Student Awards are always a highlight of the year, but this one felt particularly special. It was a real celebration of everything our students achieve, often in the face of challenge. The atmosphere in the room was full of pride and positivity.”
