This course is all about helping you learn and practice important skills that you can use in everyday life and in the workplace. You will get the chance to do hands-on tasks and show what you can do, rather than just learning from books or listening to lessons. This course is special because it focuses on what you can do, not just what you know. It’s designed to help you succeed by giving you real-life skills that you can use straight away. Whether you’re learning how to work as part of a team, practising how to follow instructions, or trying out new tasks, this course will help you grow and achieve your goals.

During this course, you will work on activities that teach you practical skills. These are skills that can help you in lots of different situations, whether you’re at home, at school, or at work. You will also learn how to solve problems, work with others, and use your creativity to complete different tasks.

By the end of the course, you’ll have new skills that you can use to move on to the next level of learning or even start thinking about getting a job in the future.

These units cover various programming paradigms and technologies essential for software development.

 

Alongside this course, you will also study Functional Skills in Maths and English. These are important subjects that will help you with everyday tasks such as reading, writing, and using numbers.

In addition to the general vocational studies programme, we also offer sector-specific pathways for this qualification. These pathways allow you to focus on a particular area of interest and develop specialised skills. The available pathways include:

  • E-Sports: Dive into the exciting and growing industry of competitive gaming, including event management and online broadcasting.
  • Art and Design: Develop your artistic talents and learn how to use creativity in practical ways, such as in media or product design.
  • Hospitality and Tourism: Gain skills in customer service, event planning, and the operation of restaurants, hotels, and tourism activities.
  • Health and Social Care: Learn about supporting others and providing care in a variety of settings, from healthcare to community work.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

There are no formal qualifications needed only a desire to return to education and achieve a recognised qualification. This course is great for anyone who wants to build their confidence and learn new skills. It’s designed to make learning fun and practical, so you can really show what you’re capable of doing.

The course is delivered in a friendly and supportive environment where you’ll take part in practical tasks, group activities, and hands-on learning. Your teachers or tutors will guide you every step of the way, giving you the help you need to succeed. You’ll also have the chance to practise and improve your Functional Skills in Maths and English during your lessons. You will be assessed on what you can do, rather than just what you know. This means you’ll complete practical tasks and activities to show your skills. Your Functional Skills in Maths and English will be assessed separately through examinations, which will help you build confidence in using these important skills.

When you finish the course, you’ll have the skills and confidence to take the next step. You might move on to an Entry Level 3 course, or you might start thinking about finding a job. This course is all about helping you get ready for the future!
