Safeguarding in a Learning Environment NCFE CACHE Award Level 1

This course is designed to support those who are already employed or seeking employment working with young people.  You will learn how to be safe and secure in a learning environment as well as provide you with an introduction to responsibilities in ensuring your own and ours safety.

This qualification develops a suitable knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and young people in a learning environment. It covers the understanding that everyone has the right to learn, to be safe and to be respected. This course is suitable for anyone who is considering a career in working with children and young people. This could include parents/carers and volunteers who would like to play a part in a variety of educational settings.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 9 - 10 Weeks

There are no specific recommended prior learning for this qualification; however learners must to be working at minimum entry level 3 in literacy.
