There are no formal entry requirements, but students are likely to succeed with Level 2 qualifications such as five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths. Relevant experience or aptitude may also be considered.
The qualification includes two mandatory components: a Core Component (covering foundational media knowledge) and an Occupational Specialism Component (focused on practical skills). Assessments include externally set exams and a skills-based project, with some elements marked by your provider and moderated by Pearson.
You can progress into roles such as Junior Broadcast Assistant, Production Assistant, Social Media Coordinator, or Event Technician. Alternatively, you may choose a Level 3 or Level 4 apprenticeship, or continue to higher education through HNCs, HNDs, or degree programmes.
