Introduction to Multimedia & Digital Literacy Level 1 (incorporating maths & English)

Learners will complete mandatory units in self- assessment and career progression and then work on other selected units themed with IT such as:

– Design and create interactive web experiences
– IT user basics
– Improving productivity using IT
– Life on the move with IT
– The power of effective email
– Making the internet work for you
– IT software essentials
– Building blocks of IT communication
– Design apps
– Imaging apps
– Making a splash with desktop publishing
– Exploring multimedia
– Making an impression with presentations
– Helping to make numbers talk with spreadshets

Entry Requirements

For this course Entry 3 or Level 1 qualifications in maths and English or, after initial assessment be working at Entry 3 or Level 1 is required. Satisfactory interview and references required.

Delivery and Assessment

Continual assessment by course tutor and a portfolio of coursework to be submitted at the end of the year.

Progression

Progression either onto IT Diploma Level 2 (incorporating Multimedia and Digital Literacy) or other vocational course at Level 1 and Level 2.
