This part-time evening course is perfect for beginners or those with some experience who want to gain a qualification in floristry. Whether you’re looking to work from home, start a small business, or eventually work in a flower shop, this course will help you turn your passion for flowers into practical skills.

You’ll learn the foundations of floristry including design principles, colour harmonies, hand-tied bouquets, floral arrangements, funeral and wedding designs. The course is creative, hands-on, and designed to build your confidence and technique.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 18 Weeks

You don’t need formal qualifications to join this course, but you will need to complete a functional skills test in literacy and numeracy.

You’ll complete a portfolio of work, along with two assignments: one written piece exploring the current floristry market, and a presentation on sources of inspiration. Your tutor will guide you through each task to help you succeed.

After completing this course, you can progress to the Level 3 NCFE Creative Crafts Certificate in Floristry or the full-time City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Floristry.
