Ø  Enterprise & Entrepreneurship – Understanding how businesses start, innovate, and grow. Marketing & Customer Service – Learning how businesses attract and retain customers through effective strategies.

Ø  Finance & Budgeting – Managing money, understanding profit and loss, and making informed financial decisions.

Ø  Business Operations – Exploring business functions, teamwork, and organisational structures.

Ø  Personal Development & Employability – Enhancing your communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

English, Maths & Digital Skills in Business

Ø  English: Develop business communication skills, report writing, and presentation techniques.

Ø  Maths: Improve financial literacy, data analysis, and budgeting capabilities.

Ø  Digital Skills: Learn to use spreadsheets, data analysis tools, and online business platforms.

Ø   Industry Work Experience – Gain at least 60 hours of hands-on experience in a real business setting, developing key workplace skills.

Ø  Employer Collaboration – Engage with local businesses through live projects, guest speaker sessions, and networking opportunities.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

To enrol in this course, you will need: – 4 or more GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, including English and Maths. – A passion for business and a willingness to develop essential workplace skills.

Upon successful completion of this course, you can progress to: – A T Level in Business & Administration. – A Level 3 Business qualification. – An apprenticeship in a business-related field. – Entry-level employment in administration, finance, customer service, or marketing.

Gateway Qualifications Level 2 Certificate in Digital and IT Skills (15 credits) proposed units:

  • Digital Skills Career Progression – the importance of digital skills in the workplace 
  • Digital Skills Project – plan, develop and review a digital skills project 
  • Cybersecurity – investigate the accidental and malicious security threats that exist to IT systems and data.
