Boldmere St Michaels Women’s Football Academy

Want to join the Boldmere St Michaels Women’s Football Academy Programme?

Boldmere St Michaels Women are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for our Association of Colleges and National Football Youth League Academy Programme for September.  Applications will be from pupils currently in Y11 or from those in Y12 who may wish to transfer from their current education provider to join our women’s football academy programme that will take place at Sutton Coldfield College.

This is a unique and exciting partnership with Boldmere St Michaels Women, and This Girl Kicks that will provide a unique full-time football and education programme for players who aspire to play at the highest level.  While also committing to an academic programme of study or work-related training programme.

Training will take place at the fantastic facilities of Boldmere St Michaels Football Club with training taking place on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon on their FIFA approved playing surface. The timing of the training sessions gives all students the opportunity to study the academic qualifications that they wish to study without academic and football timetable clashes.

The club links provide a viable route for our students to play within the performance pathway for Boldmere St Michaels in the Central Warwickshire Girls Football Youth League U18 Premier Division on a Saturday.  As well as the FA Women’s National League Midlands Division on a Sunday, which is the fourth highest tier of football in the English Women’s football pyramid.

Players that are offered a place within the Boldmere St Michaels Women’s Football Academy will benefit from the following;

  • The academic freedom to choose the best academic fit for you whether that be the A Level or BTEC education pathway
  • High-level training two to three times per week led by UEFA Qualified staff

This Girl Kicks Partnership

Our partnership with This Girls Kicks provides the potential opportunity to play in the National Football Youth League – the highest level of college football outside of the WSL Academy League competing with the likes of Sunderland and Durham in the Northern Women’s Premier League.

The NFYL is a very competitive program that includes pupils from other educational providers who join together to represent TGK in the NFYL.

The partnership with TGK also provides tour opportunities that last year saw their U19s travel to Edinburgh to play Glasgow City and Boroughmuir Thistle as well as New York where they played a number of American Colleges and high-level club teams. As well as supporting in the community, volunteering at an elementary school and running a high school soccer clinic in addition to taking in the many fantastic sightseeing opportunities and watching professional sports fixtures.
