Course overview
You’ll train 10–14 hours per week in football-specific sessions and match play, alongside your academic studies. You’ll also complete purposeful work experience, tutorials, and Maths or English (if required). The programme is tailored to your entry qualifications and includes access to excellent facilities at both Sutton Coldfield College and Boldmere St. Michaels FC.

Entry Requirements
Entry is based on your current qualifications:
- Level 1: Mainly GCSE grade 2s or equivalent
- Level 2: Level 1 qualification or GCSE grade 3s
- Level 3: Level 2 qualification plus GCSE grade 4s including Maths and English (Science required for Sports & Exercise Science pathway)
Progression Opportunities
After completing your study level, you can progress to the next level at college, move into another curriculum area, or apply for university or a sports scholarship.
Delivery And Assessment
Delivery is split between college and club, with morning or afternoon blocks to minimise travel. You’ll be assessed through practical activities, case studies, reports, presentations and written assignments. Some units will include external assessments depending on your chosen pathway.
