Course overview

You’ll study a range of modules that reflect current research and best practice in education. Learning is delivered through lectures, workshops, seminars, group work and practical activities. You’ll complete a work-based study in your second year and build a portfolio of skills and experiences. Assessment includes written assignments, presentations, case studies, reflective journals, workplace investigations and more.

Entry Requirements

32 UCAS points. You’ll need 4 GCSEs (grade C/4 or above) and 1 A Level or equivalent Level 3 qualification. A DBS check is required. Applicants with relevant work experience may be considered and will be invited to an informal interview. Two years of experience in an educational setting is desirable.

Progression Opportunities

Progress to a top-up degree such as Education Studies BA (Hons) or Integrated Working with Children & Families BA (Hons) at the University of Worcester. Career options include learning support, mentoring, family support, welfare officer or personal tutor.
