Course overview

You’ll study a range of topics relevant to working in care environments and take part in work experience to apply your learning in real-world settings.

What this course covers

Service provision and roles, principles and values, safeguarding, communication, equality and inclusion, health and safety, person-centred support, human growth and development, mental health awareness.

Entry Requirements

You should be at least 16 years old with Entry Level 3 in Numeracy and Literacy or GCSE grade 2/3 in English and Maths. A clear DBS check is also required.

Progression Opportunities

You can progress to the BTEC Level 2 Health and Social Care or NCFE Level 2 Early Years Educator / Support Teaching and Learning qualifications.

Delivery And Assessment

All units are internally assessed through a variety of methods including posters, reports, assignments, and case studies.
