Course details
You should be at least 16 years old and have five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths at Grade 5.
The course is delivered through face-to-face teaching at college alongside a substantial industry placement in a legal setting.
Assessment includes:
- Two externally assessed exams
- An employer-set project based on a real industry brief
- A practical occupational specialism assessment
These assessments allow you to demonstrate both your knowledge and your ability to apply legal concepts in realistic scenarios.
After completing this course, you could progress to employment or apprenticeships within the legal sector, such as legal assistant or administrative roles within law firms or legal organisations.
You may also continue your studies through Higher Education in subjects such as Law, Criminology or Legal Studies.
T Level Legal Services is aimed at learners aged 16–19 who are considering a future in the legal sector, particularly in areas such as business law, finance, and employment law. It suits students who enjoy problem-solving, thinking critically, and working with rules and procedures. The course is well suited to school leavers interested in careers such as legal assistant, paralegal, or HR professional, as well as those who may wish to progress to a law-related apprenticeship or continue into higher education in legal studies. Over the two-year programme, you will develop a strong blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for legal and administrative roles. The occupational specialism offered—Business, Finance and Employment—provides a solid grounding in legal procedures and practices within a commercial context.
