Course overview
You’ll explore the English Legal System, police powers under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, and develop advocacy skills through simulated court cases. You’ll also learn how to apply legal principles to real-life scenarios and investigate miscarriages of justice.

Mandatory Unit: The English Legal System. Optional Units: Police Powers, Business Formation Law, Criminal Law & Procedure, Consumer Protection, Family Welfare Law, Law Making.
Entry Requirements
A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and Maths.
Progression Opportunities
This course supports progression to Level 3 qualifications such as the Diploma in Business & Law, Extended Certificate in Applied Law, or Diplomas in Criminology and Applied Psychology. It also prepares you for entry-level roles in legal or business environments.
Delivery And Assessment
Assessment is through written assignments, case simulations, and scenario-based tasks. You’ll be expected to apply legal knowledge to practical situations.
