Course overview

You’ll study the principles of exercise, fitness and health, and learn how physical activity can reduce the risk of illness. Anatomy and Physiology modules cover the body’s major systems, while health and safety units focus on client screening and risk assessment. You’ll also learn how to deliver excellent customer service and design safe, effective training programmes for clients.

Course details

You should have a genuine interest in the leisure industry, regularly attend the gym, and have good communication skills. You’ll need a basic understanding of gym equipment and will be asked to attend an interview and complete an initial assessment to demonstrate your knowledge.
