Want to work in the digital world? This T-Level in Digital Production, Design and Development is a great way to build the skills and knowledge needed for a career in IT. You’ll combine theory and hands-on experience to prepare for employment, apprenticeships, or further study in the digital sector.

Course overview

You’ll explore core digital technologies and learn how to test software, hardware, and data in business contexts. You’ll also specialise in one of four occupational areas: Digital Infrastructure, Network Cabling, Digital Support, or Cyber Security. The course is designed to help you develop your passion and gain real-world experience, supported by expert tutors and our careers team.

You can progress into roles such as digital support technician, infrastructure technician, or IT solutions technician. You’ll also be well-prepared for higher education or apprenticeships in the digital sector.

Entry Requirements

You’ll need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including grade 5 in English, Maths, and Science. A grade 5 in Computer Science or IT is desirable but not essential.

Delivery And Assessment

Assessment includes two written exams and an employer-set project for the core component, plus synoptic assignments for your chosen specialism. English, Maths, and digital content are embedded throughout and assessed as part of the qualification.
