Course overview
This course blends core scientific concepts with real-world application. You’ll explore biology, chemistry, physics and maths, while developing essential skills through an employer-set project and an occupational specialism in Laboratory Science. You’ll also complete a 315-hour industry placement to gain valuable workplace experience. English, maths and digital skills are embedded throughout the course.

Entry Requirements
You’ll need a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English Language, Maths and Double Science.
Progression Opportunities
After completing the Science T Level, you can progress into employment, higher education or an apprenticeship. Career options include Laboratory Analyst, Microbiologist, Research Scientist, Medical Laboratory Assistant, Clinical Research Assistant, Biomedical Scientist, Data Analyst, Chemical Analyst, Pharmacy Technician, Environmental Scientist and more.
Delivery And Assessment
You’ll be assessed through a combination of coursework, exams and practical experience. Your T level certificate will show an overall grade (pass, Merit or distinction), a separate grade for the core component and Employer Set Project (A* to E) and Occupational Specialism (Pass, merit or distinction)
