Course overview

Physics covers a variety of interesting topics that will satisfy your curiosity of how the Universe works. You will study electricity, waves and motion before considering a topics such as thermal physics, gavitational fields, capacitance, quantum physics, circular motion, thermal physics and modelling the universe.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including grade 6 in GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths, and grade 66 in either Dual Award Science or two separate Science subjects including Physics.

Physics is essential for careers in engineering, architecture, biomedicine, computing, environmental science, education, and public services.

Delivery And Assessment

This course, through the exam board: AQA, is assessed by written examination at the end of two years of study, with a range of practical assessments (PAGs) also being completed through
the course in order to also gain the Practical Endorsement which is essential for onward progression to Science based degrees.
