Course overview
You’ll study both plumbing and electrical principles, learning about basic systems in dwellings. Practical sessions will teach you hand skills, jointing techniques and installation methods for cable and pipework. You’ll also complete personal and social development units covering health and safety, communication and preparation for work.

Entry Requirements
You’ll need a minimum grade 3 in GCSE English and Maths. A strong commitment to attendance is expected.
Progression Opportunities
After completing the course, you can progress to a Level 2 qualification in Electrical or Plumbing, apply for an apprenticeship, or seek employment in the construction industry.
Delivery And Assessment
You’ll complete practical assessments for each unit and build a portfolio of evidence. All tasks are internally assessed through engaging and supportive activities.
