Delivery And Assessment

This one-year OCR Applied Science AAQ is delivered through a blend of classroom learning, practical laboratory work, and independent study. You will study five key units: Fundamentals in Science, Science in Society, Investigative Science, Analytical Techniques in Chemistry, and Medical Physics. Each unit is taught through practical sessions, workshops, case studies, and project-based learning, allowing you to apply scientific theory to real-world situations.

Assessment is a combination of internally assessed coursework and externally assessed assignments. You will complete practical investigations and extended projects that demonstrate your ability to plan, conduct and evaluate scientific work. Some units also include externally set tasks to assess your knowledge and understanding of scientific principles.
