Counselling Skills Certificate Level 2

This Level 2 Certificate is a great introduction to counselling skills for anyone interested in supporting others in everyday life or work. You’ll explore how counselling skills are used and the approaches that underpin them. Please note: this qualification does not qualify you to practise as a counsellor.

You’ll study key topics in health and social care, including equality and diversity, human growth and development, safeguarding, communication, and working in care settings. The course is ideal for those considering a career change into the health and social care sector. Classes are delivered on Tuesdays.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 34 Weeks

There are no formal entry requirements, but it may be helpful if you’ve already achieved a Level 1 qualification.

You’ll be assessed through assignments and practical skills demonstrations. There are no exams.

This course can support progression into further study or entry-level roles in counselling, childcare, or health and social care.
