Building a future through Digital Technologies and AI

Studying Higher Education at BMet has helped Mikael Gopie develop his skills, gain new experiences and build a clearer picture of where he wants his future to take him.

Mikael is studying Digital Technologies: Artificial Intelligence at Sutton Coldfield College and chose BMet because of the course itself and the opportunities available alongside his studies.

One of the highlights of his time at BMet has been taking part in an international experience through the Turing Scheme, which gave him the opportunity to travel to Portugal.

“Travelling to Portugal and making new friends with the other students was one of the highlights of my time at BMet.”

Alongside his international experience, Mikael is particularly proud of completing his Level 4 qualification and developing his bird behaviour classification system as part of his studies.

For Mikael, the support he has received at BMet has extended beyond the classroom.

“BMet has supported me not only in my education, but also in keeping me motivated to continue when difficult times occurred.”

He is now focused on progressing further with his studies, with the ambition of achieving a Bachelor’s degree in his chosen field.

His advice to anyone considering studying at BMet is simple:

“Utilise the assistance you can get from the college.”

Reflecting on his experience so far, Mikael says BMet has helped him think more confidently about his future.

“BMet helped me envision the man I see myself becoming.”
