BMet College is celebrating a remarkable week of prestigious award wins, reinforcing its excellence in student services, careers support, and marketing. At the National Association for Managers of Student Services (NAMSS) Awards, BMet’s Student Services team won Inspirational Project of the Year for their ongoing work onThe Student Commission on Racial Justice, while Careers Advisor, Francis Page was named runner-up in the Newcomer of the Year category. Lastly, adding to the success, BMet’s Director of Marketing, Work Experience, and School Engagement, Zoe Lee, was awarded Marketing Leader of the Year at The Business Desk’s West Midlands Leadership Awards. The NAMSS Awards recognise the dedication and impact of student services teams in further education across the UK. The event, held at the NAMSS Conference in Liverpool, highlights the best-in-class for Student Services Team of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and Inspirational Project of the Year. With just three key categories at the NAMSS Awards, BMet’s success in two of them highlights the college’s outstanding impact in student services. Meanwhile, the West Midlands Leadership Awards celebrate outstanding business leadership across the region, recognising individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their fields. Zoe Lee’s win highlights BMet’s innovative and data-driven approach to marketing and engagement. Director of Student Experience, Kay Burton-Williams, said: “This is a proud moment for BMet. To be recognised in two out of three categories on our first entry is a testament to the dedication and impact of our work. We’ve grown the project over five years to align with our values and create meaningful change regionally and nationally. After nearly 25 years in further education, I know how much effort goes into this, and I couldn’t be prouder of the team.” Francis Page said: “Being recognised at the NAMSS Awards is an incredible honour. Student services play a vital role in shaping positive experiences for learners, and as a careers adviser, I’m proud to be part of a team making a real difference. This recognition motivates me to continue supporting students in achieving their goals.“
