UAL Graphic Design Diploma Level 3
Course overview
You’ll explore traditional techniques like drawing and mark making, alongside digital tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Cinema 4D. Learn to communicate ideas through images, symbols, colours and typography. You’ll work with both digital and traditional methods such as printmaking and photography. On completion, you’ll achieve a UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication.
Course details
A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English. Maths can be retaken during the course. You’ll also need an Art or Design-related GCSE or a Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design (Merit grade), plus a portfolio of creative work.
You’ll be assessed through a variety of coursework projects including sketchbooks, printed and digital portfolios, magazines, books, animations and films. Peer critiques are also part of the learning experience.
Progress to the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, HND Graphic Design, university-level study or employment. Career options include graphic design, advertising, animation, architecture, interior design and computer games design.
