UAL Photography and Moving Image Diploma Level 3
Course overview
You’ll gain hands-on experience in analogue and digital photography, using industry-standard software like Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. You’ll work on live briefs, collaborate with other creative students, and engage with commercial clients and industry professionals.
Course details
You’ll need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English, or a Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design at Merit or above. You’ll also need to bring a portfolio and reference to your interview.
The course is assessed through projects, sketchbook work, and written documentation. You’ll develop visual communication skills, practical techniques, and an understanding of historical and contextual art practices.
After completing the Diploma, you can progress to the two-year Extended Diploma in Photography, Higher Education, or a career in photography. You’ll receive full support with UCAS applications and portfolio preparation.
