Course overview
Learn how to design characters, environments and game assets for computer games. You’ll use software like Photoshop, Illustrator and Maya, and work on exciting briefs that reflect real industry practice. You’ll also build your drawing and design skills, alongside transferable skills such as research and idea development. On completion, you’ll achieve a UAL Level 2 Award and Diploma in Art and Design.

Entry Requirements
You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, and a portfolio of creative work to present at interview.
Progression Opportunities
Progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Games Art, Design & Development. From there, you can move on to higher education or employment in the creative industries.

This course is 100% coursework—no exams. You’ll be assessed through practical work, presentations, essays, journals, blogs, tutor interviews, group discussions, art portfolios and digital designs.
