Course overview
You’ll explore key topics in psychology, sociology, and criminology, including abnormal and developmental psychology, social policy, and offender profiling. The course also includes a subject-based research project and modules on academic writing and study skills.
Course details
You’ll need a Level 2 English qualification and be working towards Level 2 Maths. Work experience in a health or social care setting is recommended. Applicants must be aged 19 or over.
Assessment is through coursework and exams, including essays, presentations, reports, and a portfolio of evidence. High levels of attendance and punctuality are expected to prepare you for professional environments.
Progress to university degrees in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Social Policy, or Education. This diploma provides a strong foundation for careers in social care and related professions.
