Interested in how society works and decisions are made? A Level Politics explores political and social issues, current affairs, and the workings of UK democracy. You’ll gain a critical understanding of political ideologies, parties, and systems, and how they shape the world around us.
Course overview
In Year 1, you’ll study British politics, including democracy, political parties, and the UK government. In Year 2, you’ll explore global politics and political ideas, analysing international systems and ideologies. The course encourages critical thinking and debate.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including GCSE Maths at grade 4 and GCSE English Language at grade 5.

This two-year course, through the exam board: Pearson Edexcel, is entirely assessed by written examination at the end of two years of study, covering all content covered over the duration of
