If English is your second language, this course is designed to help you improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. You’ll build confidence in everyday communication and develop the language skills needed for further study or employment.

Alongside improving your English, you’ll also develop important social and teamwork skills to support your learning journey. The course is supportive and practical, helping you grow in confidence and prepare for life, work or further education in the UK.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. We’ll assess your current skills to make sure you’re placed on the right level to help you succeed.
Progression Opportunities
After completing this course, you can progress to a higher-level ESOL course (Entry 1–3, Level 1 or Level 2). If you pass Level 1, you can move on to a vocational course. If you complete Level 2, you may be able to progress to an apprenticeship or a higher-level vocational programme.
Delivery And Assessment
You’ll complete three assessments: Reading, Writing, and Speaking & Listening. At Entry Level, assessment is ongoing, while Level 1 and Level 2 include formal tests.
