Course overview
Developed in collaboration with employers, this course offers two specialist pathways: Maintenance Engineering Technologies (Mechanical) and Maintenance Engineering (Control). You’ll gain hands-on experience, build technical knowledge, and receive support from expert tutors and our dedicated careers team.
Course details
You’ll need 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English, Maths, and a Science subject.
This is a full-time, two-year course running Monday to Friday, including a work placement. Assessment includes projects, exams, tests, and controlled assessments.
Progress to a higher-level apprenticeship, a Higher National in Engineering, or a university degree. This T Level opens doors to exciting opportunities in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
Core units include: Working in engineering and manufacturing, Engineering history and future, Engineering representations, Maths and science for engineering, Materials and mechanical principles, Electrical and electronic principles, Mechatronics, Control systems, Quality management, Health and safety, Business awareness, Professional behaviours, Stock management, Continuous improvement, and Project management.
