Course overview
Throughout the course, you will develop essential technical and professional skills, including:
- Collecting, mcleaning and preparing data from multiple sources
- Analysing and interpreting data to support business decisions
- Using spreadsheets, databases and data visualisation tools
- Identifying patterns, trends and insights in data
- Creating reports, dashboards and presentations for different audiences
- Applying legal, ethical and professional standards such as data protection and security
What this course covers
Entry Requirements
You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including:
- English (Grade 5 or above)
- Mathematics (Grade 5 or above)
Progression Opportunities
On successful completion, you could progress into employment as a Data Analytics Technician or junior data professional, move on to higher or degree apprenticeships, or continue your studies at university in areas such as Data Science, Business Analytics or Computing.
Delivery And Assessment
The course is delivered through face-to-face teaching at college, combined with your industry placement.
You will be assessed through:
- Externally examined core components
- An employer-set project
- Occupational specialism assessments
