Business Access to Higher Education
If you’ve been out of education for a while or don’t have the qualifications needed to go to university, this Access to HE course is designed to help you take that next step. It’s ideal for adults who want to pursue a career in business and need a recognised qualification to progress.
Course overview
You’ll study a range of business modules including Economics, Managing People, Marketing, Finance and the Business Environment. You’ll also develop study skills such as essay writing, report writing and exam preparation. If you don’t already have GCSE English or Maths, you’ll study these alongside your main programme.
What this course covers
Entry Requirements
You’ll need GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent). You should have had a break from formal education and demonstrate your commitment to the course during an interview.
Progression Opportunities
On successful completion, you can apply for university-level study including degrees, foundation degrees, HNDs and higher education certificates.
Delivery And Assessment
Assessment is through assignments and exams. Coursework makes up 80% of your final grade, with end-of-course exams accounting for the remaining 20%.
