Course overview
Learn how games are researched, developed and pitched. You’ll gain hands-on experience with 3D modelling, games design techniques and game engines, using industry-standard software like Maya, Unity, Photoshop and Illustrator. You’ll work on live briefs and enter competitions to build a strong portfolio. On completion, you’ll achieve a UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication.
What this course covers
Entry Requirements
You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including maths and/or English. Alternatively, a Level 2 Diploma at Merit grade or above is accepted.
Progression Opportunities
Progress to higher education, an apprenticeship or employment in the games industry.
Delivery And Assessment
You will work in our Games Design studio and explore both digital and traditional design techniques. The course is split into three main projects with a Final Major Project at the end. The is 100% coursework.
