BMet celebrates partnerships during National Apprenticeship Week

BMet celebrates National Apprenticeship Week

BMet College is marking National Apprenticeship Week, which begins on 9 February, by celebrating its apprentices and employer partnerships that support them across the region.

The 19th annual awareness week continues the “Skills for Life” theme, and the week-long celebration highlights how apprenticeships help individuals develop rewarding careers, enabling employers to create a workforce with future-ready skills.

Throughout the week, BMet will present a range of captivating written and video case studies featuring apprentices, employers and staff, that showcase the real impact of apprenticeships have on their respective industries.

As part of the action-packed week, prospective learners will be able to find out more about the apprenticeships offered at the college through two Apprenticeship Discovery Evenings. The events will take place on the 12th February between 5pm-6:30pm and will held at James Watt College, focusing on business and professional services, construction and engineering pathways, and Matthew Boulton College, focusing on dental and pharmacy pathways. National Apprenticeship Week also enables BMet to reinforce connected skills offers, alongside showcasing progression opportunities.

During the week we will also be showcasing how hiring and developing talent through apprenticeships has had a significant impact on the productivity and growth of many regional businesses who partner with BMet.

Rebecca Bond, Director of Business Development & Employer Engagement at BMet, said: “National Apprenticeship Week is such an exciting and important moment for us in the college calendar and is the perfect opportunity for us to highlight the positive impact apprenticeships have on both learners and employers.

“As part of the week’s activities, we are showcasing how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for rewarding careers, while helping employers develop strong workforces for the future.” To find out more about apprenticeships at BMet, please visit: https://www.bmet.ac.uk/study-with-us/apprenticeships/
