You’ll study a wide range of technical subjects including CAD, mechanical science, manufacturing processes, and automation. The course is designed to support both employed learners and those seeking employment, with input from industry partners through the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Institute of Technology.

Entry Requirements

UCAS Tariff: 64 points (post-2017) or 160 points (pre-2017). Typical qualifications include 2 A Levels at grade C (one in Maths or Physics), or vocational qualifications in engineering, science, or IT. You’ll also need 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths. Level 2 equivalents are accepted.

Progression Opportunities

Successful students can progress to the final stage of a BA (Hons) in Engineering at Birmingham City University or other universities. Career opportunities include roles in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, biotechnology, and more.
