What this course covers

Entry Requirements

You’ll need a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including Maths and English. A Level 1 Diploma in Engineering (Merit or Distinction) and a school/college report showing excellent attendance (90%+), punctuality, and behaviour are also required.

Progression Opportunities

Progress to the Level 3 90-Credit Diploma in Engineering with a minimum Merit grade and 90% attendance, or apply for an engineering apprenticeship.

Delivery And Assessment

Assessment includes coursework and online tests. Coursework involves research, analysis, evaluation, and mathematical calculations. Each unit is graded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction. You’ll need notebooks, pens, a scientific calculator, and drawing equipment (mobile phone calculators aren’t allowed).
