Course overview
This course blends practical performance with theoretical and analytical study. You’ll develop your acting and directing skills through rehearsals, workshops, and written analysis. You’ll be expected to commit time outside of lessons for rehearsals and group work.
Course details
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including grade 4 in Maths and grade 5 in English Language.
This two-year course, through the exam board: Pearson Edexcel, is principally assessed by written examination (40%) at the end of two years of study, but also includes Non-Exam Assessed (30% Coursework)
Components including both written and practical tasks (30% performance and
direction).
A Level Drama prepares you for further study in the Arts and creative industries, and also supports careers that require strong communication and presentation skills, such as teaching, law, and public relations.
