Course overview
You’ll explore key areas of AI including machine learning, deep learning and reinforcement learning. The course combines theory with hands-on experience, giving you access to modern software, expert guidance, and industry-relevant projects. You’ll also develop broader digital skills in programming, cybersecurity, cloud computing and big data.
Course details
You’ll need 32 UCAS points, which can be made up of one A Level or an equivalent Level 3 qualification—ideally in a digital or IT-related subject. You’ll also need four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above. Mature applicants (aged 21+) without formal qualifications are welcome and will be assessed individually. A portfolio or short task may be required.
You’ll be assessed through a mix of written exams, coursework, class tests and presentations. Coursework includes independent study and practical tasks with set deadlines.
After completing the course, you could progress to a full honours degree or enter the workforce in roles such as AI Developer, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Analyst, AI Researcher, or AI Solution Architect. These roles are in high demand across industries like healthcare, finance, cybersecurity and more.
