This course is ideal for students who are passionate about music performance and production. Whether you’re aiming to become a professional musician or work behind the scenes in music production, this immersive two-year programme will help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the music industry.

You’ll build practical skills in live performance, music theory, and composition, while also exploring music production and technology. You’ll gain experience in both on-stage and behind-the-scenes roles, preparing you for a wide range of careers in music.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths. Alternatively, a Level 2 Diploma in a related subject at Merit or Distinction is accepted.

You’ll be assessed through a variety of methods including practical work, live and recorded performances, presentations, essays, blogs, group discussions, and technical demonstrations.

You can progress to university, a Higher National Diploma, or employment in the music industry.
