Help Castle Vale go digital
As part of the Aviva Community Fund, Birmingham Metropolitan College and Castle Vale Community Housing Association would like to deliver IT training sessions and learning programmes to help transform the way residents live, learn and socialise in their area.
Just 45% of people living in Castle Vale have internet access, compared with 75% of people nationwide.
The Castle Vale Digital Inclusion Project is one of over 3,200 with the potential to receive up to £25,000 funding, subject to votes from the public.
Venues for training include the Castle Vale Skills Centre, The Sanctuary and Digital Hub with days and times suitable for all residents. Programmes will range from basic IT skills to online safety and digital photography, with some of them leading to accredited qualifications.
Voting is open between now and 31 May.
